ANALYZING THE FAKE DMCA
Three fake DMCAs, impersonating CNN and Times Now, claimed that articles published on Benzinga.com and Just-food.com were illegally copied from their News Portals.
The problem is – these ‘News Portals’ were not CNN.com or TimesnowNews.com , but free blogs set up at Blogspot.com –
This is the modus-operandi of a fly-by-night Reputation Service, usually based in countries like Russia or India. They set up such free blogs, impersonate credible publishers and file fake DMCAs hoping that it would bypass Google Staff’s scrutiny.
Webactivism has already filed counter-notices in all instances and the links are back on Google.
SO WHAT WERE THEY TRYING TO HIDE ?
How about news articles with titles like –
The ‘Smoking Gun’ That Shows Amira Nature Foods Is Worth $0
Amira Nature Foods faces corruption allegations
Here are some excerpts from these articles –
Amira Nature Foods stock lost more than one-quarter of its value in New York yesterday (9 February) after allegations emerged that management breached listing rules by cooking the books and using company funds for “personal use”. Shares in Amira fell 25.75% in trading yesterday, slipping to $9.95 a share.
Because we believe Amira is hoodwinking investors and has no intention of providing a meaningful return to public foreign shareholders, we think Amira’s stock is fundamentally worth $0.00/share and should be de-listed from the New York Stock Exchange
EDITOR’S COMMENT : For those who might ask – ‘why and how do we interject that ‘Amira Nature Foods ‘ has something to do with this fake DMCA. Couldn’t it be a coincidence ?’, we will say this – When someone goes and creates a whole new fake news site, falsifies his/her identity and submits fake DMCA to try and de-list some very targeted content on Google, it signals intent and a plan. It is obvious that ‘Amira Nature Foods ‘ or someone they hired was directly involved in this crime. Amira Nature Foods also cannot plead ignorance in this matter, since this notice on Google search is hard to miss, really.
