ANALYZING THE FAKE DMCA
This one is pretty straight forward, simple and blatant. There is zero consideration for any laws they break.
Economic Times is not flattered about ConsumerComplaints.in publishing their articles on it’s Consumer Complaint Platform. Well, just this one article.
This is the only DMCA ever filed by Economic Times. So, of course this one is either extremely important, or flat out fake.
Economic Times and ConsumerComplaints.in has no information about any such DMCA. This URL was never removed from Google Search because the fake DMCA was so outlandish to be considered legitimate.
Irrespective of the above facts, it is still a crime which involved perjury, impersonation and fraud to file fake DMCAs in a premeditated scam.
SO WHAT WERE THEY TRYING TO HIDE ?
Cart2India is an eCommerce enterprise in India, and they are pretty good at it. Like any B2C model, it has it’s own share of consumer grievances to deal with.
Instead of trying to connect with their customers and resolving these issues, Cart2India went for the worst possible option.
A fake DMCA, impersonating a credible News Portal, perjury.
EDITOR’S COMMENT : For those who might ask – ‘why and how do we interject that ‘Cart2India’ has something to do with this fake DMCA. Couldn’t it be a coincidence ?’, we will say this – When someone goes and creates a whole new fake news site, falsifies his/her identity and submits fake DMCA to try and de-list some very targeted content on Google, it signals intent and a plan. It is obvious that ‘Cart2India’ or someone they hired was directly involved in this crime. Cart2India also cannot plead ignorance in this matter, since this notice on Google search is hard to miss, really.
