ANALYZING THE FAKE DMCA
How’s this for Streisand effect – Lloyd M. Claycomb, 51 , of Longmont, was facing charges for ‘yelling at a man while driving erratically’. That was nearly a decade ago. 10 years. He did not spend any time and was give a suspended sentence. The case was closed in 2008. His attorneys at law ‘Springer & Steinberg’ got a great verdict for him. Obama was just elected as POTUS, and bygones were bygones.
Yet, some people are never satisfied. Nearly a decade later, the same person hires a bunch of criminals to commit perjury, impersonation and file fake DMCAs. Not 1, not 2, but against 7 URLs.
There were 2 fake news websites used –
- Let’s examine any one of the links – http://www.coloradonewsregister.com/colorado-road-rage-incident/ . The idea is to imply that this article was published in 2008 or earlier. However, the domain coloradonewsregister.com itself was registered on 31st Jan 2016. We can debunk that claim then.
- This domain is already a serial offender, and we have records and evidence of this website being involved in several other fake DMCA and cyber crime. There is no company registered in the name of ‘FOX 18 News Network, LLC’ in USA. The obvious attempt is to impersonate ‘Fox News Network, LLC ‘ , the one and only Fox News.
- As per hosting history, the domain was parked until 4th March 2016, after which a wordpress theme and some random articles were uploaded to it. The website did NOT exist before March 2016. Period.
- We can go on with dozens of other points to prove that this cheap looking news website is fake. The social media icons are not hyperlinked, the banner ads are not hyperlinked. The fact that the news articles are weeks apart….
SO WHAT WERE THEY TRYING TO HIDE ?
We don’t know what went in Mr Lloyd M. Claycomb’s head, that he became desperate to hide a decade-old news article about a small incident. The jail time he faces for perjury and impersonation, among a civil lawsuit for fake DMCA, is perhaps more damaging than the decade-old case.
EDITOR’S COMMENT : For those who might ask – ‘why and how do we interject that ‘Lloyd M. Claycomb’ has something to do with this fake DMCA. Couldn’t it be a coincidence ?’, we will say this – When someone goes and creates a whole new fake news site, falsifies his/her identity and submits fake DMCA to try and de-list some very targeted content on Google, it signals intent and a plan. It is obvious that ‘Lloyd M. Claycomb’ or someone he hired was directly involved in this crime. Lloyd M. Claycomb also cannot plead ignorance in this matter, since this notice on Google search is hard to miss, really.
